Terms of Service

Last updated: July 23, 2026 · Operated by Tournamon Games

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Tournamon Games ("we," "us") governing your use of Tournamon at tournamon.games (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Tournamon is a browser-based collectible card game with single-player and online multiplayer modes. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Accounts

You can play Tournamon as a guest without an account, or sign in with Clerk to save your progress across devices. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for anything done under your account. Tell us if you think your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Cheat, exploit bugs, or use unauthorised tools to gain an advantage.
  • Harass, threaten, or send abusive names or messages to other players.
  • Attempt to disrupt the Service (e.g. DoS, brute-force, mass room-creation).
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy game content beyond your personal play.
  • Use the Service for anything illegal.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

4. Tokens and Virtual Items

Tournamon uses in-game tokens and unlockable items (booster packs, arena backgrounds). These items:

  • Have no real-world monetary value.
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash, refunded, or transferred between accounts.
  • Are a limited licence to use within Tournamon, not property you own.
  • May be lost if you delete your account or if the Service is discontinued.

We may adjust token rewards, item prices, or item availability at any time to balance the game.

5. Intellectual Property

All Tournamon content — including cards, artwork, card names, rules text, game code, logos, and the Tournamon name — is owned by Tournamon Games and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose (playing the game). You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from Tournamon content without our written permission. Your own custom-built decks (combinations of official cards you assemble) are yours to arrange — the underlying cards remain ours.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party services (Clerk for authentication, Vercel for hosting, Upstash for real-time data, PostHog for analytics). Your use of the Service is also subject to their respective terms. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tournamon Games will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed CAD $100.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we shut down the Service, or if we're required to by law. On termination, your rights under these Terms end and we may delete your data (subject to any legal retention requirements).

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, and you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. If the changes are material, we'll notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
